Supporting Wildlife

10% of all services will be donated to organizations that are on the front lines protecting Canada’s wildlife and wild places.

These funds support groups working to protect wild habitats, challenge harmful policies, and promote humane approaches to conservation. I believe wild animals deserve safe, thriving homes, just like we do.

Right now, Animal Wisdom’s support is focused on ending the wolf culls in Alberta and BC.

In British Columbia and Alberta, government-led wolf culls have been introduced as a way to help protect endangered caribou populations.

These programs involve controversial methods such as:

  • shooting from helicopters

  • poisoning

  • neck snares

Since 2015, more than 2,100 wolves have been killed in BC alone. However, many scientists and conservation organizations argue that habitat loss (not wolf predation) is the primary causes of caribou decline.

Wolves are a keystone species and their presence helps maintain the health and balance of entire ecosystems. Removing them can disrupt wildlife populations, vegetation and even waterways.

Groups like The Fur-Bearers, Pacific Wild, and Raincoast Conservation Foundation are working to challenge these culls and advocate for long-term, habitat-based solutions that support both caribou and predators like wolves.
